Open Air Mamma Mia Film and an Anniversary run in the London Olympic Stadium.

Something that I have never experienced before in the UK attending an open air cinema. It's success is based on the weather and as we had a good forecast for the evening of the 20th July an impromptu decision to go to Ascot Racecourse to see the Luna Cinema's showing of Mamma Mia. The weather stayed dry even if it was a bit windy. I had forgotten how badly Pierce Brosnan sang!

The big screen! Sound was very good.

The next day (Sunday 21 July) Neil was running in the The National Lottery Anniversary Run, which is the the first sporting event to take part in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park since the Paralympic Games closing ceremony last year.

The five-mile route took in iconic venues across Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, ending with a 300m run on track to the finish line. I was able to go and sit in the Stadium and enjoy the event from the stands.
