Another clear round thankfully!

Well my six monthly scan results are in and they are clear!!!!!!!!!! I am blown away by this as this means that I have been cancer free for 18 months - yes 18 months! At times I never thought that this would ever happen.  So happy! This is the best news.

You know who you are!!!

Burrows Lea - The Harry Edwards Healing Sanctuary

I have always found great comfort in going to Burrows Lea near Shere as I have posted before on here. Today was no exception and the sun shone - such a bonus!

Sunday 9 February 2014

It's a new day feeling kinder to and happier with myself......

A  much better day .... The black cloud has lifted. All brought on by my six monthly scan which was on Friday morning. I thought that I had kicked that scanxiety feeling but obviously not! I just have to accept that now we are in that limbo period awaiting the results. The blood tests were as my consultant described " unremarkable". I really like that word in this regard.

But as I have said before on here the blood tests are only an indication. But it's a good sign and everything crossed  for a good scan result too.

So today I have had a dog walk in the wind at Virginia Water. I have made Jerusalem Artichoke and Almond soup for lunch. This is a recipe i have not tried before from my Abel and Cole cookbook. I have also made a wholemeal soda bread with stout to go with it. A hearty lunch for a blowy day.Cooking always cheers my spirits.

Look at this photo of this beautiful  Amaryllis  - a striking colour. My friend Sara is away on holiday and I have been looking after her plants for her and this bloom snapped off a bigger display she has. So I brought it home for me to admire.

I plan to ... keeping busy!!!
