A holiday in January - what a luxury. A trip we had to cancel last February now rescheduled! A trip to South Africa with Chris & Philip. A safari and a beach house awaited us!
Colin didn't come but he had a holiday with Becky in Virginia Water who looks after him when we are off on our travels.
After Chris Neil & I had a great weekend in
Hout Bay we travelled North to Durban where we met our intrepid traveller Philip who had luckily managed to escape the snows of the UK.
The four of us then went off to a Game Reserve called
Phinda for a 4 day safari. A dream come true for lots of different reasons and what a wonderfully perfect time we had. Too many photos to share but here are some of the highlights.

We then flew back to Cape Town where I fulfilled another wish which was to stay at a house overlooking a beach and what a beach we chose -
Llandudno. Same name as the one in North Wales but that's where the similarities end!

Seven days of this view and I never tired of it - sleeping to the sound of the ocean. Welcomed each morning when I awoke to the blue sky sunshine and the sound of the waves.

But I can's stay here forever! A perfect escape and a beautiful holiday. A big thank you to Neil for all his hard work in planning and arranging this holiday - it could not have been more perfect. Thank you Annie for finding this house for us and to Claire and James whose beauriful house it is for letting us share this piece of paradise for a week. And of course thanks to Chris & Philip for being with us. We certainly created some wonderful memories.
